Thalys: heading for Dortmund

On 13 December, Dortmund will become the sixth German destination on the Thalys network. The rail company will soon be linking Paris to Dortmund three times a day.

Visit 13 Decemberthe red train, well known to European business travellers, will be heading for the Germany's 8th largest cityat the rate of 3 round trips between Dortmund and Paris in 4 hours 41 minutes. "By enriching the direct connections between Ruhr Westphalia and Paris, we want to contribute to the vitality of economic exchanges between these two regions, which are driving forces in Europe," emphasised Dortmund. Agnès Ogier. The Managing Director of Thalys, who travelled to Dortmund on 15 September, is not just banking on the business travel clientele: "Dortmund's appeal goes far beyond that, and we hope that French tourists will be curious, because Germany's 8th largest city has a lot to offer".
