
A strike by SNCB, the Belgian railways, on 3 October is expected to cause major disruption to traffic between 2 and 4 October. The company has closed its ticket sales for the 3rd, while a number of services will be affected by the strike on 2 and 4 October.
In the Paris-North to Belgium direction, Thalys 9375 Paris-Ostend (departing at 18:22) will stop in Brussels and will not serve Ghent, Bruges and Ostend. The same applies to Thalys Paris-Liège 9483 (departing at 19:34), which will terminate in the Belgian capital, without continuing on to Mons, Charleroi, Namur and Liège. The 9.55pm Paris-Brussels (Thalys 9397) has also been cancelled.
