With 3.4 million passengers carried in the first half of the year, Thalys posted a healthy increase in traffic (+3.4%), which helped to boost the railway company's sales (2.1%). The Paris-Brussels route is suffering from the economic climate (-1.3%), but this decline has been offset by growth on routes between Paris and the Netherlands (+2.7%) and to Germany (+1.6%). Another positive factor for the company's management is the slight increase in the satisfaction rate (0.1%), which is no doubt due to the improved punctuality of red trains (93%).
