The European Union is re-imposing restrictions on American and Israeli travellers, but these may only apply to people who have not been vaccinated.

Travel protocols between France and the French overseas departments are being tightened, while containment measures are restricting domestic travel.

According to a study published on 28 July by the Business Travel Show, the main concern for travel managers over the next twelve months is the development of their role within the company.

The British government has just announced that all vaccinated travellers from the European Union and the United States will no longer have to undergo quarantine from 2 August. They will, however, have to undergo a PCR test on day 2 of their arrival. However, this measure does not yet apply to France.

Canada has announced that it will finally lift its restrictions on so-called "non-essential" travel by foreign visitors. The reopening will begin with the United States on 9 August. Europe will follow on 7 September. This is particularly good news for Air Canada, which is resuming flights on the Paris-Toronto and Geneva-Montreal routes.

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the number of seats offered by airlines worldwide has exceeded 80 million. According to OAG, this development is due to the increase in holiday flights in Europe, as well as the Olympic Games in Japan.
