Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire have just announced the signing of a reciprocal code-sharing agreement on the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Abidjan-Felix Houphouët-Boigny route, which will take effect this week. Starting October 25, 2026, Air France will apply its code to flights operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Abidjan. Air Côte d’Ivoire will market flights operated by Air France on this same route under its own code.

This cooperation will allow the customers of both airlines to benefit from an expanded choice of schedules between France and Côte d’Ivoire thanks to the combination of Air Côte d’Ivoire and Air France frequencies. Air Côte d’Ivoire serves Paris with eight weekly flights, while Air France offers 12 weekly flights to Abidjan.

Air France is a shareholder and strategic partner of’Air Côte d'Ivoire Since its creation in 2012, this new codeshare agreement marks a new step in the cooperation between the two airlines and demonstrates their shared commitment to sustainably strengthening connectivity between France and Côte d’Ivoire.

«This code-sharing agreement marks a new stage in our cooperation. By combining our offers on the Paris–Abidjan route, we offer our French, Ivorian and international customers more choice and flexibility, while contributing to strengthening the economic and cultural ties between France and Côte d’Ivoire,», said Anne Rigail, General Director of Air France.

«The implementation of this code-sharing agreement on the Abidjan – Paris route with Air France represents a first step in a collaboration that will be expanded to other destinations on the Air France network before the end of the first half of 2027. The deployment of all the stages of this agreement will allow us to expand the range of offers between Abidjan – Paris and beyond; but above all, from the very start, to benefit from commercialization across the Air France global network, departing from and arriving in Côte d’Ivoire., said Laurent Loukou, General Manager of Air Côte d’Ivoire.

As a follow-up to this agreement, Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire have also brought their respective loyalty programs, Flying Blue and sMiles, closer together. This launch is scheduled for late 2026. sMiles members will thus be able to accumulate miles on flights between Abidjan and Paris operated by Air France, and eventually use them on the entire Air France network. Members of the Flying Blue loyalty program, in turn, will be able to accumulate and use their miles on flights operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire between Paris and Abidjan.

This new cooperation illustrates the shared ambition of Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire to offer a smoother travel experience between Paris and Abidjan.
