Volotea establishes itself as Strasbourg's "national" airline
With two weekly flights between Strasbourg and Berlin, Volotea confirms its leading role for the Alsace metropolis. The airline will also soon be inaugurating a base in Brest.

26 cities and destinations. This is what the Spanish regional airline Volotea from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. Strasbourgwhich has established itself as the 'national company' of the Alsace metropolis.
The Eurometropole, once the stronghold of the company Air Franceis now closely associated with the regional carrier. This will finally give it the European coverage it so coveted. As one of the three capitals of the European Union,Strasbourg is still the least well served by air.. This is mainly due to the high density of airports in the region, from Basel-Mulhouse Baden-Baden and Stuttgart.
Volotea is now filling this gap. Visit regional carrier offering flights to major cities such as Barcelona, Athens (with Aegean) and Rome. Since November, they have been joined by London and Berlin.
About London, on 9 November, the airline launched two weekly frequencies to Gatwick airportevery Thursday and Sunday. Volotea also offers two weekly flights to Berlinon Mondays and Thursdays since 20 November. As a result, Strasbourg has regained an air link with the German capital, a link it had lost more than a decade ago.
All in all, Volotea offers 26 destinations, including 12 in France. The low-cost carrier's aircraft will operate six rotations to major French cities (Bordeaux, Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse).
In addition a dozen leisure destinations around the Mediterranean basin. Including Split in Croatia, which will benefit from a weekly frequency from 26 June 2024.
