The acquisition of a majority stake by Daimler Mobility Services with capital of Private Chauffeur gives it a presence in 15 European countries. It is part of the carmaker's strategy, called "CASEIt is focused on four key areas: "Connected", "Autonomous", "Sharing & Service" and "Electric".

Daimler has already made its ambitions clear with regard to Chauffeur Privé, announcing its intention to acquire the entire capital of the French company by 2019.
