The ACTE educational conference is being held in Paris this year. Why is this such an important event?
In terms of business and business travel, Paris is the ideal destination to hold our annual conference. This year, it will attract almost 1,000 business travel specialists. An event not to be missed. Because, unlike many events that deliver best practice in a rather professorial way, our conference seeks out the issues that are keeping professionals on their toes these days and deals with them in a dynamic, 'seek and find' way. The quality of the speakers, the subjects covered, the latest trends: it's the best you can expect. Not forgetting a vital element: networking.
What role does ACTE play?
ACTE plays a unifying role for the business travel community. Our members come from every segment of the industry and our raison d'être is to broaden the knowledge of professionals, while advancing the travel management agenda. From the speakers at our conferences and networking events to our initiatives such as '3 under 33' - the talent of tomorrow - and the Angel Investor Lounge, where we help entrepreneurs make their innovations possible rather than talking about them endlessly.
Other initiatives include the ACTE index.
The ACTE index will be presented for the first time in Paris. Business travel has long been regarded as a barometer, an indicator of the health of national and regional economies. ACTE will therefore be launching the first monthly index on business travel, offering a cross-sectional view of the performance of business travel and the economy in general.
