Air France introduces a new business cabin to Caribbean and Indian Ocean destinations.

La Air France's move upmarket is now being extended to destinations in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean regions. Over the course of the year, the airline will gradually roll out new new travel cabins on the 10 Boeing 777-300s mainly destined for this network. The first aircraft equipped with these cabins took off on 15 January for Pointe-à-Pitre, followed the next day by Fort-de-France, before other destinations will benefit from this development, including Saint-Denis de La Réunion during the summer 2020 season, as well as Mauritius, Havana, Cancun, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

On board, the 472 seats (14 in Business, 28 in Premium Economy and 430 in Economy) have been completely redesigned at a cost of 120 million euros, to offer passengers a high level of comfort. In Business, the seat can turn into a bed almost two metres long and adds a new pre-defined 'relax' position. The 1/2/1 seating arrangement gives all passengers direct access to the aisle. With a removable screen and a "do not disturb" signal activated via the seat control, everything is designed to promote privacy. As for the quality of sleep, it is guaranteed by soft foams, a silky duvet and a comfortable pillow. Other features of this cocoon include a storage box with mirror and noise-reducing headphones, a power socket, two USB ports, an 18.5-inch HD screen, a personal reading light and a suede comfort kit with everything you need to feel good on board.

The Premium Economy cabin also features a new seat width of 48.8 cm, 130° seat angle inside a fixed shell, lumbar support and more legroom with adjustable footrests, leg rests and headrests. This new travel environment is complemented by additional storage space, an individual reading light, a digital tablet rest, as well as an electrical socket and two USB ports. In terms of entertainment, each passenger has an individual 13.3-inch HD screen and noise-reducing headphones.

Lastly, the Economy cabin is equipped with a seat of a 43 cm seat width with 118° recline and soft adjustable headrests. A latest-generation 11.6-inch high-definition individual screen, headphones and USB port accompany Air France's rich and varied entertainment offer. The tablet is also enlarged, for comfortable eating or working.

In all its cabins, Air France will offer a choice of wines and champagnes selected by Paolo Basso, World's Best Sommelier 2013. These will be accompanied by dishes created for Business passengers by Andrée Rosier on departure from Paris, as well as Creole dishes being offered on departure from the Caribbean and Réunion. In the Economy cabin, customers enjoy a full menu, including a choice of two hot dishes. In addition, a second service, offered in the "Bon Appétit" bag, includes a breakfast or a snack to enjoy on board or to take away. A la Carte menus are also available from Paris, at an additional cost.
