Already active in the main areas of the business travel sector, CWT is adding another string to its bow by exploring a new and highly strategic area: payment methods. On 17 September, the business travel agency made official the launch of a virtual card based on Conferma technology and, above all, compatible with all GDSs. "Customers ask us to support them with payment solutions for all their travel expenses, whatever channel they use, online or offline," explains Nick Vournakis, CWT's Vice President Global Marketing. "This solution goes beyond their expectations and we look forward to deploying it alongside them.
This new CWT virtual credit card solution is aimed at the many travellers who do not have a business credit card, offering them an alternative to a personal card and simplifying the management of their spending. These users can now use the CWT card to pay for hotel accommodation and flights on low-cost airlines, but other fields of application should soon extend the spectrum of the payment solution. From the company's point of view, this new offering makes it possible to centralise travel expenses by automating the reconciliation of expense reports, while gaining greater visibility of their total cost, based on more reliable data than ever before. "We are confident that Conferma's technologies, combined with CWT's service and global reach, will set a new industry standard for payment and data management solutions," said Simon Barker, CEO of Conferma.
