The latest update to the mobile application Iberia is expanding its functionalities. Among the new services available is the ability to check the dimensions of hand luggage. Business travellers can now "scan your luggage simply by using the camera on your smartphone. The mobile application will then calculate the dimensions of this baggage, and will indicate to the user whether or not it corresponds to the formats authorised in the cabin. To offer this functionality, Iberia has turned to the ARKit technology developed by Apple - the tool is therefore reserved for iPhone users - as was already the case with easyJet to launch the same function a few months earlier.
