The market had been buzzing with the acquisition of Wojo by International Workplace Group (IWG) since the possibility was revealed by the media outlet Business Immo. This is now a done deal with the announcement by the world leader in flexible workspace of the acquisition of the co-working spaces launched ten years ago by Accor and Bouygues Immobilier through a joint venture.
IWG, already by far the world’s number one with more than 6,000 sites under contract in 120 countries – far ahead of its competitor WeWork and its 600 locations – is further strengthening its market position. Through this transaction, the group is adding 186 further workspaces and making Wojo one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries.

For IWG, according to its CEO Christian Schmitz, Wojo is thus “ a highly complementary activity that strengthens our leading position in France while creating new development opportunities with Accor and its network of hotel partners. "
While IWG had 140 sites in France in 2025 across its brands Regus, Spaces, HQ, and Signature, the acquisition of Wojo has led it to double its number of sites, with IWG having made France one of its key markets. The global leader continues to strengthen its presence there, both in the Paris region and in secondary and tertiary cities, as illustrated by the recent opening of a new Regus centre in Angers. Earlier in the year, IWG had also unveiled A Regus site within the Hampton by Hilton, which has opened at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport.
The acquisition of Wojo opens up new prospects for flexible, integrated hospitality workspaces. This brings them closer to business travellers, while in the US, IWG is also beginning to deploy work pods. within airports, in partnership with Jabbrrbox.
