Strike: Air France suspends Transavia Europe but wants to speed up...

The week-long strike by pilots has prompted Air France's senior management to put the Transavia Europe project on hold, while reaffirming the group's ambitions in the low-cost market. "To stay in the European race, we have no alternative to the rapid development of Transavia," points out Alexandre de Juniac, CEO of the Air France-KLM group. The suspension of the project does not seem to satisfy the unions, with the SNPL denouncing it as a "smokescreen".
