Air Canada revealed Embarq Early October. The platform integrates with Air Canada’s corporate offering. It brings together the management of travel, its tracking, and loyalty benefits in a single tool. Travelers book directly on aircanada.com, and the airline automatically assigns eligible trips to their company. Registration is open to businesses and non-profit organizations registered in Canada. It is free and requires no minimum spend volume.
" Canadian entrepreneurs and growing businesses need simple and flexible tools that help them connect with customers, partners, and opportunities across Canada and the world. », says Alexandre Lefèvre, Vice President of Network Planning and Global Sales at Air Canada. He continues: « Embarq reflects our continued investment in innovative solutions tailored to help Canadian SMEs connect, grow and succeed ".

Centralized monitoring without a managed program
To book, the traveler connects to their Aeroplan account and selects the «business trip» option. The benefits then apply, and the booking is then uploaded into the Embarq portal. This includes reporting tools. The travel manager thus gains visibility into the company’s activity, without the complexity of a fully managed program. Furthermore, organizers can book on behalf of employees. Registered companies also benefit from discounts and a dedicated support team. Finally, travelers earn an additional 50 % Aeroplan points for eligible business trips, subject to certain conditions.
Embarq remains reserved for structures registered in Canada. However, the launch illustrates Air Canada’s willingness to deal directly with SMEs, offering them tracking tools that have previously been reserved for large clients.
