Since it opened in summer 2015, this pretty address in the Tribunal district has got into the habit of selling out. For lunch and dinner. The duo of chefs from Alsace, Thierry Bendler and Sébastien Helterle, plead guilty: they have put together a creative menu based on local produce, elegantly revisiting the great local classics. The menu is served in a warm, modern setting, with the wines presented "under lock and key", in a sort of prison set up right in the middle of the restaurant. For a little innocent pleasure.

AU PETIT TONNELIER
A good restaurant in the heart of the town centre that celebrates market cuisine: the recipe for success seems simple enough. In any case, it has ensured the Petit Tonnelier a longevity that other restaurants can only envy. After 22 years of loyal service, the friendly owner describes himself as a 'dinosaur' on Strasbourg's gastronomic scene. He is nevertheless constantly striving to dust off Alsatian cuisine and inject a breath of modernity into a venue that hosts concerts and temporary exhibitions.

While waiting for the new European business district to emerge, this friendly restaurant enjoys a virtual monopoly in the vicinity of the institutions. Chez Franchi serves as a canteen for diplomats and local regulars alike. The value for money is excellent, as is the ratio of efficiency to friendliness. The more studious can even opt for the takeaway pasta, so as not to waste time on their current business or, better still, to have lunch in the sunshine in the nearby Orangerie park.

The winstub - a typical Alsatian restaurant where wine is served - at its tastiest. Le Tire-bouchon is one of those Strasbourg landmarks that has maintained its high standards in terms of cuisine and service.
