Although pure incentive activities are in decline, two-thirds of companies include a team-building activity in their business events. "The fun aspect remains important, but many are also looking for a way to discover the destination. This can take the form of treasure hunts in the city or gala dinners in prestigious historic locations," explains Émilie Fritz at Accor. Like a visit to a watchmaking factory in Geneva, followed by an aperitif at the Patek Philippe museum, a dinner in a Champagne cellar or, in Marseille, a sailing trip to the Calanques. The spa is increasingly popular, even if participants don't necessarily go there, especially as these services are often at their own expense. "In Zurich, for example, we offer a seminar-fitness package with a massage at lunchtime or after the meeting, directly included in the price we give the client", says Francis Bertrand, European Sales Director for Mövenpick.
