How to get there

Milan has two international airports: Linate and Malpensa. The larger airport - Malpensa - is around forty kilometres from the city centre, while Linate is less than 10 kilometres away. This duality gives rise to a complex and dense schedule of air traffic between the major French cities and the capital of Lombardy.

From Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle : Alitalia offers seven daily code-share services with Air France to Linate and four to Malpensa. On the same Roissy-Malpensa route, Air France adds an extra frequency. Lufthansa also offers a direct daily flight between Roissy and Malpensa.

A joint subsidiary of SNCF and Trenitalia, Artesia offers two day trains and one night train between Paris and Milan. The day trains depart from Gare de Lyon, the night train from Gare de Paris Bercy. Journey time: just over seven hours for the day trains, just over nine for the night train.
