W in Abu Dhabi
Starwood wants to establish its W brand in Abu Dhabi. The hotel will be part of a residential leisure complex overlooking the marina. It will offer 350 rooms and 25 suites, including two Extreme WoW suites, a spa, three restaurants, a nightclub, a business centre and 1,500 m2 of meeting space.

Hotels & Preferences has added 19 themed addresses to its 2010 guide. Nine of these establishments stand out for their golf, while ten have been selected as spa destinations. In addition, the Table d'exception label brings together 16 restaurants that have won several awards for their cuisine.
Falaknuma Palace
After 10 years of work, Taj Resorts & Palaces is bringing Falaknuma Palace, the former Hyderabad guest house of Nizam Mehboob Ali Khan, who hosted King George V and the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II, back to life. From September, this 60-room palace will give guests a glimpse of the imperial life of the Nizams when they ruled the city.

Choice Hotel Europe has just welcomed a new Comfort hotel not far from Paris. The Comfort Hotel Villepinte-Sevran has 48 rooms, a breakfast room and a seminar room. A practical two-star address for participants in events organised at the Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
Andaz 15th Avenue
Andaz 15th Avenue will welcome its first guests this summer. Located in Bryant Park, Midtown Manhattan, the hotel faces the New York Public Library. The interior spaces of the 144-room hotel will be inspired by iconic NYC features.

Residhotel has opened a new residence in Morocco. Located 7.5 km from the historic centre of Marrakech, Adama has been designed in the spirit of an authentic Moroccan village: individual houses in traditional architecture, organised around an Andalusian garden. There is also a restaurant, supermarket, spa, swimming pool, etc.
Eyjafjöll volcano
The ash cloud from the Eyjafjöll volcano has caused hotel room prices in major cities to soar. According to the Trivago barometer, during the flight bans in April, rates rose by 94 % in Milan, 52 % in London, 67 % in Berlin and 28 % in Amsterdam.
LVMH enters the hotel business
Already present in fashion, leather goods, watches, jewellery, perfumes, cosmetics, wines and spirits and selective distribution, the French luxury group now wants to move into the hotel business. Luxury, of course.
The Regent changes ownership
The Regent and Rezidor are finished. Carlson, the owner of the chain, licensed and developed by the Scandinavian group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, sold the property at the beginning of April to Formosa International Hotels Corporation (FIHC).
