Rail travel will again be affected on 8 February by a movement of strike against pension reform. The SNCF reports an operating level of 2 trains out of 3 on average for TGV INOUI and OUIGO. The company expects 2 out of 3 trains on the North TGV INOUI Axis, 1 out of 2 on the Atlantic Axis, 3 out of 5 on the South East Axis and near-normal traffic on the East TGV INOUI Axis. OUIGO trains should be running at two-thirds capacity, as should province-to-province operations (2 trains out of 3).
The network international will also be affected. On Tuesday, SNCF announced that it was counting on 3 trains out of 5 for Lyria. The operations of Thalys are expected to be slightly disrupted, while traffic Eurostar is announced as "normal". On other international routes, an average of 4 trains out of 5 will operate.
The daytime Intercités network will only operate at 50%, with "almost one train in two". SNCF warns that "TER traffic will be severely disrupted in all regions", and will provide more details region by region.
