AC Hotels is preparing to cross the Atlantic. This was announced by the American group on 3 June at the NYU International Hospitality Investment Conference in New York. "By bringing AC Hotels by Marriott to the United States, we believe we can increase Marriott's overall market share with younger business travellers, who make more than three business trips a year, representing a total market of 31 to 35 billion dollars," said Brian King, Global Brand Manager at Marriott. The success of the AC Hotels brand in the European market - 79 hotels in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal - should soon lead the group to export the concept. However, it is not yet known when and where the first representative of the brand will open across the Atlantic.
