France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic: Choice Hotels is expanding its European network with the addition of twelve hotels, half of which are in France. Two new hotels have been added to the Lyon business travel network - the Quality Suites Lyon Confluence and the Comfort Suites Lyon Est Eurexpo - bringing the total number of Choice Hotels hotels in Greater Lyon to three. To the south, the Clarion Suites Narbonne Ile du Gua, the Quality Hotel Flore Nice Promenade and the Quality Hotel Marseille Vieux Port are joining the Choice Hotels network, as is the Comfort Suites Deauville Sud.
The group's development in France is accompanied by expansion in neighbouring countries, with the arrival of new hotels in Oslo, ?eské Bud?jovice (Czech Republic), Erlangen (Germany), Lavaux (Switzerland), Loano and Brescia (Italy). "In parallel with the opening of these new establishments, many of our hotels and residences have undertaken major renovation and modernisation work," points out Isabelle Rochelandet, Vice President of Choice Hotels France. She adds: "These are ambitious programmes given the current economic climate, both to meet accessibility and safety standards and to continue to offer all our customers a pleasant and varied atmosphere".
