Melia targets business travellers in Lima

The melia group will open a second hotel in Lima in three years' time: the Tryp by Wyndham hotel confirms the Spanish hotelier's interest in the Latin American market, already illustrated recently by the announcement of five Innside by Melia hotels in Chile.

Melia announced its plans at the beginning of June, clearly targeting its short-term objectives: Peru and Colombia. This ambition is already beginning to take shape, with the announcement of a new establishment - the second - in Lima: a Tryp by Wyndham hotel is due to open in the Miraflores district. The new business address in the Peruvian capital will have 140 rooms in total, and will offer a range of meeting facilities as well as a fitness centre and restaurant. The new Tryp Lima Miraflores is the first hotel of a major brand in the city of Lima, whose growth heralds an explosion in business and corporate travellers looking for comfortable hotels combining design, simplicity and efficiency," promises Gabriel Escarrer, Director of Meliá Hotels International.
