The third Qatari hotel in the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts catalogue opens its doors on 1 May, replacing the Grand Heritage Hotel Doha, recognisable by its Victorian-style building. The hotel group intends to capitalise on the hotel's reputation: "This establishment has a loyal clientele who will follow us and we are looking forward to building on this heritage, highlighting the Swiss hospitality that only Mövenpick can offer", says Andreas Mattmüller, Chief Operating Officer of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East and South Asia.
The Mövenpick Hotel Al Aziziyah Doha has 139 rooms in Doha's Aspire Zone. In addition to the gastronomic delights for which it is renowned, the five-star hotel has five multi-purpose rooms, a spa, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool. The Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts group now has more than 640 rooms in Qatar, including the Swiss hotelier's two other addresses: the Mövenpick Hotel Doha and the Mövenpick Hotel West Bay Doha.
