Russia's development as a business destination continues unabated, and the approach of the Olympic Games in 2014 and the football World Cup in 2018 further accentuate the Federation's appeal. Taking advantage of this boom, the Hilton Group is adding a new destination to its catalogue with the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar hotel. The hotel offers 165 rooms on the corner of the city's two main thoroughfares, meeting rooms for up to 100 people, a business centre and free Wi-Fi access. The Hilton Group is expected to operate eight properties in Russia by the end of 2013, doubling its portfolio in this fast-growing market.
