Accor tops 500 hotels in Asia

Accor has just announced the opening of the Pullman Gurgaon Central Park, the company's first hotel in India and, more importantly, its 500th establishment in the South-East Asian market.

The opening of the new Pullman Gurgaon Central Park has enabled Accor to reach a new symbolic milestone in South-East Asia, becoming the group's 500th hotel in the region. The hotel also marks the arrival of the Pullman brand in India, in a fast-growing business destination: Gurgaon is in fact presented as the "business satellite" of New Delhi. The hotel - the group's 17th in India - has 285 rooms and a total of almost 1,600 m² of meeting space, with facilities tailored to the needs of MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conventions, Events) business customers. "Two years ago we celebrated [the opening of] our 400th hotel in the region, and our pace of development has accelerated significantly, and we are on track to open one hundred hotels in 2012 in the Asia Pacific region alone," said Michael Issenberg, Asia Pacific Director, Accor Group.
