
A first for the brand in this country, but also for The Ascott Limited group to which it belongs. The 96-apartment property - ranging from studios to 3-bedrooms - has several meeting rooms, as well as a swimming pool, gym and bar.
"Given the importance of the IT sector in India, it's time for us to assert our presence in Bangalore, nicknamed India's Silicon Valley. The city lacks hotel residences of international standards".explains Ronald Tay, Ascott's Investment Director, in charge of the Indian business.
The Singapore group has no intention of stopping there. Six other residences are already under construction in the country: one in the cities of Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, and two in Bangalore and Chennai. The Somerset Greenways Chennai hotel is due to open in the autumn, while the other five will open gradually over the next three years.
