The upward trend is most marked in Paris, according to figures recently published by Deloitte, with double-digit growth in average revenue per room (RevPAR) of +13%, accompanied by occupancy rates of over 79% in the various categories. The trend is even more marked on the Côte d'Azur in the top-of-the-range hotels, with a 28.8% rise in RevPAR. In both cases, the Deloitte report highlights the role of events organised in the capital - such as Batimat - or in Cannes, where the G20 was held at the beginning of the month. Apart from these two strategic areas, "the provinces are showing mixed results", says the report, which notes a drop in visitor numbers, particularly in Lyon, Metz and Nantes.
