Major works approaching for the Ritz: closure in sight

The Ritz is getting ready to close its doors from July, in order to carry out a phase of works. The famous Paris hotel is not due to reopen for another two years, in summer 2014.

Two icons of the Paris luxury hotel industry will be stepping down from the limelight for several months. After the Crillon, which recently announced a renovation plan necessitating the closure of the establishment, the Ritz will also be giving its facilities a facelift. Work on the Paris hotel is expected to cost 140 million euros, and will include the creation of a restaurant under a glass roof.
