Movenpick takes business travel to Asia by storm

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of two new properties in Asia, including a hotel in Makati that business travellers to the Philippines will be able to enjoy from 2016.

Mövenpick is showing its ambitions for the Asian market by announcing two new hotel projects: the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Quy Nhon in Vietnam and, above all, the Mövenpick Hotel Makati in Makati City, Manila in the Philippines. The Philippine financial centre will see the arrival of the slender tower of the new building by 2016, adding no fewer than 304 rooms and 250 residences to the local hotel offer. These two projects are part of a wider regional offensive: "The new projects will bring the number of hotels under development to 18," warns Andreas Mattmüller, Chief Operating Officer for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East and Asia, adding: "Our ambition is to have a network of 25 hotels in the region by 2015.
