The Jumeirah group's international expansion is about to take it to Rome. After Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Shanghai and the Maldives this year, the Dubai-based luxury hotel operator is preparing to take over management of the Grand Hotel Via Veneto, one of the Italian capital's most prestigious addresses. The move will take effect at the beginning of 2012, when Jumeirah will add a hotel with 122 rooms and suites, furnished with Murano wood and chandeliers. The spacious rooms all feature high-speed internet access and high-definition television. Other Jumeirah establishments are expected to open next year in Dubai, Majorca, Baku and Kuwait.
