Soaring hotel prices in November

Hotel prices rose in Europe in November, according to the trivago Hotel Price Index: a particularly marked trend in Paris, where the increase was 19% compared with 2010.

A night in a hotel is particularly expensive in November, according to the latest edition of the trivago Hotel Price Index, which shows a double-digit increase (+11%) across Europe. The average price of a night's stay in Paris reached 166 euros (+19% compared with the same period in 2010), while London (205 euros) and Geneva (228 euros) remain at the top of the rankings. Conversely, business travel to the south is benefiting from a fall in rates, particularly in Rome (-31% compared to October, at 116 euros) and Madrid (102 euros).
