Trivago's monthly barometer for May confirms the upward trend in Paris hotel prices recorded since the start of 2012. For the last four months, the average price of a night's stay in a Paris hotel has been rising steadily", says the report published by Trivago, which adds: "From 156 euros in February, it rose to 166 euros in March, then 181 euros in April, and finally 194 euros this month". Not only Paris, but also London (up 31 since January, to an average of 212 euros), Rome (171 euros) and Barcelona (159 euros) have seen their average prices rise significantly. Conversely, the hotel budget for business travel is down in Athens (-16% compared with 2011), Brussels (-16%) and Berlin (-5%).
