This is a major deal for Eurostar, which has signed a partnership with the fintech company Revolut. The agreement specifically concerns the loyalty program; Revolut customers can now use their RevPoints as Club Eurostar points to obtain tickets to travel on the operator’s European network, as well as various benefits such as a upgrade. In detail, they can earn 1 Club Eurostar point for 10 RevPoints, a transfer that is only possible in this direction via the Revolut app.
The minimum per transfer is however « 10 RevPoints, in multiples of 10, with no maximum limit other than the RevPoints balance they have available », Eurostar specifies.« We are delighted to launch this new loyalty partnership with Revolut, which offers Eurostar Club members a new way to increase their points balance »That is great news," said François Le Doze, the commercial director of Eurostar.
An agreement with a young bank with 80 million customers
The agreement is all the more important for Eurostar given that Revolut has experienced rapid growth over the past ten years, currently counting 80 million customers, in addition to regularly opening new branches, such as recently in Mexico and Australia. This is what has attracted long-distance customers to the railway company. The online bank is particularly well-established in Eurostar’s priority markets with 13 million customers in the United Kingdom and 8 million in France, where Revolut has just obtained its banking license, but also 3 million in Germany, 1.5 million in the Netherlands and 1 million cardholders in Belgium. In Ireland, 80 percent of the adult population would even have a Revolut account, according to this bank.
" Our partnership with the Eurostar Club reflects Revolut’s commitment to building a truly global loyalty ecosystem. By linking RevPoints to one of Europe’s most iconic rail loyalty programs, we give millions of customers the opportunity to turn their everyday spending into train travel. », for his part, emphasized Christopher Guttridge, the general manager of Revolut's Loyalty and Travel department in a statement.
